MLB: Highlights of other games including the Royals’ incredible 11-pointer

The Kansas City Royals beat the Seattle Mariners 13-12 on Sunday to score 11 points in one hit and bounce back.

Mitch Haniger released two singles in the fifth half, when the Mariners recorded eight runs to stay up 11-2 against their daily rivals.

But Luis Castillo struggled on the mound in the sixth inning, and Michael Massey drove four runs for Kansas City in the Royals’ most productive half since 2004.

The Royals converged for seven innings on that inning, with five away from the four pitchers.

For the Mariners, this loss is costly as they occupy the last place among the teams drafted in America to gain access to the playoffs. They lead the Orioles by four games with a score of 83-69.
